SUMMER
YOUTH DRAMA CAMP
Ages 8 - 14
June 26 - July 26 Weeks 1, 3, 4:

This 5-week, 90-hour camp, now in its 33rd year, is
held at Theatricum’s beautiful outdoor amphitheater and
surrounding grounds. Campers participate in theatre
technique workshops that emphasize the building of a closely
knit ensemble. Each group culminates with a performance of
an edited Shakespeare play. Tuition includes an 8x10 group
photo, camp T-shirt and 2 tickets to the final performance.
Our technique classes include: Fencing - Theatre
Games - Improvisation Voice & Speech - Elizabethan Dance
& Song Stage Combat - Costumes & Props Acting

Is Youth Drama Camp right for your child? Consider that the camp
is designed to excite young people to Shakespeare through
ensemble storytelling techniques. Children who enjoy working in
a group and have the ability for sustained concentration have
fun and flourish in our camp. Your child must be able to attend
the full session, plus performance dates in order to apply.
*Performances: Your child will perform on ONE of the
following days: Saturday, July 28 or Sunday, July 29
A
$300 deposit is required to confirm your reservation. The
balance of $410 is due on or before June 5.
After-camp
care is available from 3-5:30 pm for an additional fee.

YOUNG PEOPLES
CAMP

8 - August 5 Mon. & Fri., 9 am - 12 pm plus July 27 Ages 4 - 7 FEE: $435
This 5-week camp is specially designed to introduce
young people to the imaginative world of theatre. As children
participate in commedia dell’arte, theatre games, stage combat,
crafts, songs and Elizabethan dances, they learn to play as a team
while developing their individual creative thinking. Parallels are
drawn between classic and modern stories by a team of highly
experienced teachers as the students are introduced to Shakespeare
and storytelling. |
