Seasoned professionals and dedicated beginners
will broaden their awareness of text, rhetoric and the Elizabethan world
as it is applied to the physical, vocal and emotional realization of
Shakespeare’s characters. These 8-week classes, taught by working
professionals, focus on the performance of scenes and "job-getting"
monologues. By interview only

STUDY THE CLASSICS: MASTER CLASS with
ELLEN GEER
at Los Angeles Valley College
In this 8-session class, professional actors and
directors work on scenes from a variety of classical playwrights, such
as Shaw, Moliere, Ibsen, Chekhov and the Greeks. Each participant is
also cast in a Shakespeare monologue, directed with an emphasis on
audition techniques. By audition only

IMPROVISATION TECHNIQUE with IAN
FLANDERS

In this 10-week improvisation workshop, you will
sharpen your acting fundamentals, learn to trust your instincts, revel
in the moment, and unleash the laughter inside you in a supportive,
spontaneous environment.

VOCAL POWER with ELISABETH HOWARD
in Hollywood
Being able to carry a tune, either alone or with
a group, and to sing out with confidence is an essential tool for
theatre actors. The focus of this group class is to help students learn
proper breathing and breath support, as well as how to produce clear
tones and control pitch. Participants will work toward gaining
power and projection while enhancing the “colors” in their voices.FALL
